Description 1 old antique Japanese wakizashi sword available.  This Samurai sword would make an important addition to any collection. An elegant Japanese sword with saya and fittings of exceptional craftsmanship.   SAYA The handsome saya exhibits high craftsmanship.  Note the horizontal and vertical ribs lacquer in a deep black.  Ocean waves kurikata. FUCHI/KASHIRA Ocean wave patterns in solid Silver. TSUBA Soft metal in ocean waves.  Sukashi open work with Omodaka (water plaintain) kamon.  Gold and Silver foil seppa sit next to the tsuba.   The blade measures 15 7/8″ (40.3 cm) from blade tip to notch in the blade spine.
