Description This is a M1938 beaded Luftschutz Gladiator German helmet. “Stahlhelm Luftschutz , Originallack und Abzeichen, ungereinigtes Stück” The helmet still has all three of the original permanent liner rivets, with some surface rust on the paint and no dents. The Luftschutz decal is 85% complete with a few scuffs and wear, with a lovely yellowed patina. The helmet liner is missing the string and some of the leather tongues have damage were string was pulled threw. The chin strap is still present and in very good condition, with some wear to the finish. Manufacturer Code: RL2 39/21 Information on the inside decal states: Vertrieb genehmigt gemäß § 8 Luftschutzgesetz Kopfweite 58 Höchstpreis 8.50 RM This indicates the pricing and distribution information: Distribution approved according to Section 8 Air protection legislation.
