AMERICAN M1942 PARATROOPER JACKET AND TROUSER SET – REINFORCED

Description This US M42 jacket and pant set are reproductions copied directly from mint condition original uniforms. It features all the color and sewing features of the original, including all the bar tacks and embroidered eyelets along with reinforced knee and pockets. The jacket consisted of four front patch pockets with two button snaps on each, along with a unique dual-zippered knife pocket located on the upper lapel which was designed to contain a switchblade pocketknife. The M42 was mostly worn by Paratroops assigned to Airborne units. The pants are correct in every detail and with all the added reinforcements – knees and pockets – which were added for Normandy and onwards. As well as having the correct leg ties to help compress the pockets during jumps. Made of high quality cotton twill.
