Description This is a early pattern Fallschirmjager jump smock in green flecked cloth (Grünmeliert). The M38 jump smock comes with a hidden zipper and 4 buttons on top. Also comes with elastic internal cuffs, arm pit vents, belt hook holes, snap buttons and leather tabs for the zipper. This WWII jump smock also comes with a factory-stitched breast eagle. The jump smock was used by German Paratrooper (Fallschirmjäger) and Gebiras-Truppen forces in many front- line operations. Meant to keep equipment from tangling with parachute lines it was to be discarded upon landing however it became a practical smock so soldier retained it especially since it was waterproof.
